Pastoral Care

Form tutoring

Every pupil at Eckington School has a Form Tutor. The Form Tutor is the first person pupils should contact in case of difficulties within school. The Form Tutor will then help the pupil sort out the issue or ensure the pupil can speak to someone who can help.

Each year group has a Leader of Student Development who is in charge of the pastoral care of a whole year group, the LoSD should be contacted if the issue cannot be resolved by the Form Tutor. The LoSD has a Pastoral Support Assistant working with them to assist with their work.

Pupils should ensure their planners are signed by a parent or guardian once a week and checked by the form tutor, this is a quick way for form tutors and parents to correspond as short notes can be written in the planner.

Our Home-School agreement outlines our expectations of students and the support we expect from parents/carers. The school agrees to strive to ensure that our students are respectful at all times and that they make good progress, both academically and in their personal development.
