As parents ourselves, as well as being Headteachers, we are acutely aware of the expectations and aspirations we invest in a quality education for our children. We all want our children to be happy, confident and secure within themselves to enjoy the most formative years of their lives and to achieve their full potential. It is our unconditional aim here at Eckington to provide the support necessary for all children to have the most positive experience we can possibly provide and for them to feel supported and challenged in equal measure, so they realise their goals and recognise their dreams.

We are passionate about providing a truly excellent education for all of the young people who attend our school, and we are equally passionate about broadening their horizons and developing their broader personal, social and emotional skills through a range of high-quality extra-curricular activities. We are both incredibly proud to be the Headteachers of this school and to have the opportunity to work with your children to prepare them for their lives as well-rounded citizens in modern Britain. It is our ambition to build Eckington School on a basis of mutual respect between staff and students and to be proud of the relationships that we can cultivate and enjoy on a daily basis. The children will be at the heart of every decision we make as we endeavour to provide the best, well-rounded education possible so that they are equipped to tackle life’s challenges.

We have high expectations for our students and we aspire to “Outstanding Achievement for All” as they make their journey through Eckington School. We want all of our students to leave Eckington School with a wide and rich knowledge, an extensive set of skills, a strength of character and a love of lifelong learning. We believe that the fulfilment of potential can only be achieved by the school and family working in partnership together. At Eckington, in order to strive for success, we need to work collaboratively to build strong relationships between school, parents, carers and students, to ensure all of our young people grow, thrive and value their secondary education. Together we can provide our students with a happy, safe and aspirational experience where they can contribute positively to their community and we thank all of our parents and guardians for your support in helping us to achieve this.
