Space Rocks Competition














Calling all students aged 9 to 13!

Your mission is to design a planet to live on. Think about life forms and ecosystems that may exist on this planet. In your design, consider scientific elements such as oxygen, light, water, food and temperature. Your design should be on an A3 piece of paper and include lots of detail and colour. Safe planet designing Earthlings!

How to enter

  • Entrants must be aged between 9 and 13.
  • Add your name, age, and school name on the back of your entry.
  • Add your parent/carers email address.
  • Bring along your competition entry to the SPACE ROCKS event for a chance to win a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) to the National Space Centre.
  • Seize The Moment: The Autobiography of Britain's First Astronaut

    Competition Rules

  • 1. The promoters are Eckington School and Vision for Education.
  • 2. The rules of the competition are as follows: Entries should be completed by persons aged between 9-13 years. Employees of Eckington School or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
  • 3. Closing date for entry will be 4pm on Monday 21st November 2016. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  • 4. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  • 5. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  • 6. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  • 7. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • 8. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation. Details will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrants prior consent.
