Student on a field trip

Our two key aims in the department are to help students develop into well-informed, responsible citizens of the world and to give a solid foundation on which to build should they wish to take their studies further at any point through their academic career.

Should students opt for further study, they may choose from one of the following subjects:

  • Geography
  • History
  • Religious Education
  • Law
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Health and Social Care

Each of our teachers are specialists in one or more of these areas and convey an enthusiasm for their subject, giving up-to-date examples of events in time that apply to studies.
