Following an incredibly tough two years, we would like to pass on our congratulations to our Year 13 students who received their exam results on 18 August 2022. For many of them, this summer’s exams were the first external assessments they have taken. The resilience our students have demonstrated under such conditions is remarkable. They are all exceptional, inspiring, and talented young people and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
In total, 8 of our students achieved three or more A*/As or the equivalent. We have one student who will be studying biochemistry at the University of Oxford, and two students studying medicine at the University of Sheffield. Our students’ success can be seen with almost 25% being awarded A*/As or equivalent and almost 58% awarded A*-Bs or equivalent. Furthermore, of those that applied, all of our students have been successful in securing a placement at university, with the majority getting their first choice placement. We also have several students beginning apprenticeships and entering the world of employment. Whatever their destinations, we wish them the very best of luck!
Katherine Needham, Associate Assistant Principal and Sixth Form Leader said, “We are immensely proud of all our students for the hard work and resilience that they have shown over the past two years. We are pleased with the results that they have achieved which continue to show year-on-year improvement in examination results. We recognise that this success comes with a combined effort from students, their teachers and their parents. We are very grateful for that parental support. We look forward to hearing about the future successes of the Class of 2022”.
