A Level and Vocational Results Press Release for Eckington School (August 2020)
In spite of the challenging circumstances of the past few months and the subsequent cancellation of examinations, we are pleased to announce that this year’s year 13 cohort at Eckington School have achieved some very pleasing examination results.
Of particular note at A Level were the achievements of Georgia D, Abbie T, Charlotte B, Shannon F, Alicia H, Matthew M, Erin F, Ife B and Maisie H, amongst others. Congratulations also to Siobhan C, Molly C, Luke J, Justin S, Kelsie W, and Narissa D who all achieved distinctions in vocational qualifications.
Acting Principal Alison Burgess commented ‘We are delighted with our A Level and vocational results this year and are immensely proud of the achievements of all our students. Everyone has had to work extremely hard over the last two years to achieve these outcomes. Students and staff have achieved results that do themselves, and the school, great credit. It is very pleasing to see so many of our students succeeding in gaining access to their first choice destination next year, whether this is university, a professional apprenticeship or the workplace. I would like to congratulate a terrific group of students, their families and their teachers who have all worked extremely hard to achieve these results. We all share their pride and excitement as they embark on the next stage of their lives. I would also like to thank each and every one of our year 13 students for their contribution to school life during their time with us.’
Eckington School allows all students to be academically challenged and to ultimately flourish in a caring and supportive learning environment. Not only have our students gained some excellent results, but they are now well prepared for an exciting future allowing them to face the challenges of the wider world.
We are still taking applications for entry to year 12 for September 2020.
